Job Description: 
Document Controller needed in Detroit, MI.

The Document Controller will perform all tasks associated with document controls. This includes the distribution and organization of Turnaround and Engineering Packages.
This will be at least 45-50/hr a week for a long term contract.

Responsibilities:

-Receives all Engineering packages and routes to the appropriate Supervisor.
-Routes all packages to Project Controls to ensure that the cover sheet data is correct.
-Maintain the ER package transmittal process and log.
-Maintain an electronic log of all Engineering and Turnaround packages (current and completed).
-Work with Engineering Document Control to drive consistency among engineering packages (Consistent format, Engineering Material Form is populated, work orders are correct).
-Create SAP work orders upon Turnaround and Project Planners request.
-Create a new file for each year and move completed package data to the Previous Year file.
-Maintain an electronic file of all Engineering and Turnaround packages on public drive.
-Maintain a hard copy file of all Engineering and Turnaround packages(filing cabinets).
-Purge old files (hard copy) every year; maintain previous two years files.
-Assist in closing TAR work orders and charge numbers for all shutdowns.
-Facilitates flow of RFI’s (Request for Information) from all contractors and crafts – including getting approval/denial, redistributing to planning and project controls, and recording / filing.
-Maintain an electronic log of all RFI’s (outstanding, approved and denied).
-File all RFI responses in the respective binder.
-Assist Turnaround Planning and Projects personnel with various administrative tasks.
Desired Skills: 
The Ideal Document Controller Candidate will have:

• Experience in Refinery, Engineering or Construction Industry.
• Document Control experience in a turnaround.
• SAP experience.
