We need an E&I Engineer to support multiple projects at a plant in Belle Chasse. In addition to day-to-day plant support and various E&I infrastructure installation projects, we need an E&I Engineer to support a tank project (upgrading tank level measurements for blending and shipping operations).
The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer will be expected to:

• Acting as engineering support for the routine daily operation of plant units and providing engineering and support for the plant’s PCS (Process Control System).
• Maintaining a familiarity with working through PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) sessions, AOA (Alarm Objective Analysis) sessions, and SOA (Safety Objective Analysis) sessions.
• Performing alarm management assessments and facilitating remediation of issues.
• Assessing new instrumentation and control technologies as well as determining the right opportunities for their application.
• Troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical problems and issues, developing alternatives, and proposing and implementing solutions for long term reliability.
• Carrying out various studies in order to improve instrumentation and electrical system safety, reliability, and economics.
• Providing engineering analysis and evaluation of instrumentation and electrical projects.
• Designing, managing, and executing instrumentation and electrical projects.
• Maintaining a familiarity with electrical codes and standards.
• Verifying application of suitable industry codes and standards in selection, construction, and usage of instrumentation and electrical equipment and system.
• Interfacing with operators, mechanics, supervisors, construction contractors, and management in order to complete projects on time and on budget to meet business objectives.

Desired Skills: 

The ideal Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer will have:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5 – 10 years of experience.
• Chemical/refinery experience.
• Tank level measurement experience would be a plus.
• The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• The ability to provide day-to-day support as well as project support.
