Job Description: 
• Support Capital Projects over the next 2-3 years
• 9/80 Work Schedule

The Master Scheduler position
• integrates, develops and maintains capital project schedules in plant’s scheduling database
• interacts with project managers, engineers, project controls analyst/engineer, designers, estimators, engineering procurement, and construction contractor/third party personnel, turnaround planner/schedulers, and other personnel
• coordinates capital portfolio projects on day-to-day work assignments involving project controls, project management, scheduling to achieve objectives relative to engineering, procurement and construction milestones, and efficient resource/capacity utilization
Desired Skills: 
The ideal Master Scheduler will have:
• A Safety Champion mindset – portrays a personal example of excellent safety, performance, and commitment.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in the chemical, refining, or other industrial manufacturing industries.
• 3 - 5 years of related work experience in project controls, scheduling, or cost engineering.
• 3 - 5 years of Primavera P6 experience and scheduling in a construction and turnaround environment is an asset.
• Previous capital project experience from working in a chemical plant, a refinery, oil and gas production, construction of major facilities, power generation, or public infrastructure is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of scheduling and engineering practices, Work Breakdown Structure creation and management, and work packaging strategy from engineering to construction.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office including the ability to manipulate large amounts of data and perform complex functions within Access and Excel.
• Proficiency in computer skills including, but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint and SAP.
• Experience with project control scheduling software systems.
• Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills towards the generation of solutions and sound decisions.
• Strong communication skills, confident interacting with stakeholders in verbal, written, and electronic form.
• The ability to work well with others giving and receiving information willingly as well as maintaining an increasing awareness of workplace diversity.
• Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to solve well defined problems without or with only partially defined steps to solutions in the area of core discipline.
• The ability to solve complex problems where solutions are known to exist within core discipline.
• The willingness to share information with others, organize data, and gather information systematically as well as seek input from others.
• The ability to accept clearly defined objectives and will seek clarification if needed.
• Basic safety training and/or site specific training.
