Job Description: 
SCHEDULER

Work Schedule: 4-10’s


We need a Scheduler who will be responsible for:

• Developing, updating, and monitoring a totally integrated resource loaded project schedule for a turnaround event including capital projects and operations.
• Communicating needs in order to verify milestones of the project can be met and thereafter reporting progress to management.
• Conducting schedule optimization meetings with all resources.
• Developing and issuing reports to necessary groups (cost control, operations, turnaround management, etc.).
• Inputting daily progress via field resources during the execution phase.
• Issuing look ahead schedules for all resources (craftsmen, operations, contractors, etc.).
• Reviewing schedule progress and productivity of consultants and contractors on a daily basis during execution.
• Monitoring and verifying earned value at a frequency determined by turnaround management and thereafter reporting results to management.
• Evaluating and adjusting data regarding cost status, resource requirements, commitment data, and productivity variance reports.
• Developing and preparing program and project progress summary reports.

Desired Skills: 
The ideal Scheduler will have:

• 3+ years’ experience as turnaround scheduler in petro-chemical industry (preferred).
• 3+ years’ experience working with Primavera and MS Project scheduling tools (preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of various mechanical skills (pipe fitting, welding, boiler making, electrical, rotating equipment, instrumentation, X-ray techniques and interpretation).
• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, blueprints, isometrics, P&IDs.
• Proficiency in turnaround planning and estimating principles.
• The ability to understand field changes
• The ability to communicate quickly and effectively.
• Good teamwork, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with multiple workgroups.
• Excellent meeting management and organizational skills.
• Advanced skills inP6 and SAP or equivalent.
• Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Familiar with MOC process and PSSR (pre-startup safety reviews) process.
