SR. LEVEL COST ANALYST NEEDED FOR PLANT IN THE TEXAS CITY AREA

Estimated Project Duration: 1.5 Years


Work Schedule: will work 1 or 2 days/week at Engineering Contractor’s Office in Sugarland

Regular Location: Texas City

We need a Sr. Level Cost Analyst to support the Major Projects Group – is responsible for the project controls services/cost analysis and works closely with: Engineering, Global Procurement, Construction and Accounting

We need a Sr. Level Cost Analyst who can:

• Develop, with the project team, realistic forecasts of the overall project cost and schedule.
• Apply cost control and other analytical techniques to quantify financial performance and projections.
• Implement processes that encourage early recognition and assessment of risks and opportunities that could affect project results.
• Manage project cost, schedule, and forecast reporting efficiently.
• Identify cost and schedule reduction opportunities.
• Interface with Finance & Accounting functions.
• Ensure development of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) during all project stages, suitable for the needs of controlling the project.
• Develop and maintain a phased forecast profile based on Value of Work Done (VOWD) and use this to compare variances with actual VOWD and Control Budget.
• Check contractors' forecast for completeness and consistency with the defined scope of work.
• Audit contractor deliverables to ensure the basis of rates and factors is consistent.

Desired Skills: 
The ideal Sr. Level Cost Analyst will have:

• 2 - 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Advanced knowledge on MS Access and Excel.
• Basic knowledge on Primavera and/or MS Project.
• Some experience with EcoSys or SAP is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field – preferably in Engineering, Construction Management, or Industrial Technology.
• Previous experience in project engineering, scheduling, estimating, planning, construction management, project controls, and earned value reporting is preferred.
• An active TWIC card.
