Technicians Needed! – Electrical/Instrumentation/Analyzer
Direct Opportunity in Plaquemine, Louisiana
Multiple direct opportunities for Instrumentation/Electrical Technicians and Analyzer Technicians.

The Technicians will be expected to:
• Provide instrument and electrical maintenance support in a chemical manufacturing facility. These tasks are indicative of the types of activities that could be performed in this type of environment.
• Repair, test, adjust, or install electronic equipment, such as industrial controls, transmitters, and other equipment. Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems.
• Test and maintain mechanical and work equipment or machinery to ensure proper functioning.
• Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures.
• Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts, such as gaskets or seals in watertight electrical equipment. Determine types of equipment, tools, or materials needed for jobs. Repair and/or replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
• Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
• Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation or for defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Perform other duties or activities as needed.
Desired Skills: 
• Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Repairing - Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
• Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
• Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.


The ideal Technicians will have:
• 2+ years of experience in the I&E Maintenance field.
• Experience at a chemical manufacturing facility preferred.
