AP/PURCHASING CLERK, Plaquemine, LA

We’re looking for an AP/Purchasing Clerk who will be responsible for:
• Assisting the Purchasing Agent with routine purchasing, expediting orders and other duties as assigned.
• Entering purchase orders electronically.
• Matching delivery ticket with purchase order and electronically receive all goods on a daily basis.
• Matching invoices to purchase orders.
• Coding invoices following established procedures.
• Distributing invoices for approval to appropriate department managers.
• Entering invoices electronically for payment once approved.
• Sending invoice batches to other plant sites for further approval.
• Electronically issue all goods withdrawn from the warehouse on a daily basis.
• Resolving problem invoices.
• Reconciling statements of invoices from vendors.
• Receiving / distributing faxes.
• File all paperwork as needed.
• Creating FedEx / UPS electronic labels, both for domestic and international.
• Distributing spare pagers as needed.
• Working cohesively with warehouse/receiving.
Desired Skills: 
The ideal AP/Purchasing Clerk will have:
• High school graduate or equivalent plus 2-year office professional degree or equivalent office experience.
• Computer skills, Microsoft Word and Excel, various software, typing, 10 key by touch, adding machine, fax machine, copier.
• Must be detail oriented and have organizational skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems with minimal guidance.
• Experience working in a plant environment.
