Document Control Specialist Needed for Plant in El Dorado, Arkansas
• Per-Diem is Not Being Offered
• Estimated Start Date: October 2017
• Estimated Project Duration: 1.5 Years
• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (5-8’s)

Document Control Specialist
needed to work cross-departmentally to coordinate document system needs – maintains adherence to retention policies, safeguards information, and retrieves data more effectively.

The Document Control Specialist will maintain the input, maintenance, and coordination of the document control system by:
• Maintaining the draft and release, storage, and tracking of documents.
• Assisting with the maintenance of the quality management system processes.
• Organizing the document control system.
• Routing and tracking documents for approval as well as the release of documents.
• Documenting master list maintenance and release while verifying current document revisions are available.
• Confirming files have the appropriate classification.
• Identifying obsolete documents and removing them from filing.
• Scanning and archiving inactive quality records in accordance with record retention guidelines.
• Creating new templates.
• Training employees on records management procedures and policies which include documentation, retention, retrieval, destruction, and disaster recovery.
• Providing documentation to regulatory agencies and customers.
• Maintaining awareness of organization changes to revise document system access.
Desired Skills: 
The ideal Document Control Specialist will have:

• Extensive experience with previous document control systems.
• Experience working with a quality document management and review system is preferred.
• Competency in procedural writing and the formatting of procedures and documents.
• ISO experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
• Thorough understanding of office procedures including filing, record management, and archiving documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• The ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions, and put the solutions into action.
• The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time well.
• Proactive – demonstrates initiative and self-motivation.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• The ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Detail oriented with the ability to stay focused and carry out tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality as they interact with all levels of an organization.
