I&E Routine Maintenance Planner Needed for Plant in the Golden Triangle Area

Full Benefits Offered Estimated Duration: One Year

Instrument & Electrical Routine Maintenance Planner
needed to coordinate and facilitate instrumentation resources according to Client’s maintenance schedules and execution plans: develops work packages and work instructions to support maintenance work activities including pre-planning, material staging, requisitioning/expediting, labor estimating, and other field support
Desired Skills: 
The ideal I&E Routine Maintenance Planner will have:

• Instrument experience (required).
• Turnaround or routine maintenance with at least 5 years in a planning/supervisor role.
• At least 1 year of actual planning experience.
• Experience with instrumentation from suppliers such as Honeywell, Rosemount, Fisher, Drexelbrook, Metler Toledo, and Masoneilan exposure is necessary.
• Electrical experience on a turnaround or routine maintenance – at least 5 years.
• Experience with PLC, vibration system monitoring such as Bentley Nevada, SAAB, MV and LV motors, VFD’s, switchgear and motor starters is necessary.
• SAP experience preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with CMMS.
• Knowledgeable about obtaining quote requests, material ordering, writing Purchase Requisitions, etc.
• Multi-craft knowledge/experience necessary.
• Knowledgeable about vendor support requirements on items such as control valves, specialized instrumentation systems, etc.
• The ability to read and understand crane load charts to identify the correct crane needed for the lifting plan.
• A basic understanding of a refining operation and the limitation of routine maintenance on operating units and the inherent safety concerns with live conditions.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office.
• The ability to learn new computer skills and techniques and ready to accept new challenges and progress their knowledge base and skillset.
• Experience with creating and managing preventive maintenance plans is preferred.
• Experience with creating and managing library plans/task lists is necessary.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• The ability to handle several assignments at once and utilize tracking tools such as Outlook calendar reminders, task assignments, etc. to follow up on items that are awaiting more information or support from other resources.
• Must be prompt, take ownership of a backlog, be accountable, and hold others accountable for both good and bad performance.
• A high desire to succeed and improve things, and to learn from mistakes.
• The ability to develop new best practices to improve aspects of the job from what vendor we use all the way down to how the work is executed and history is recorded.
• Desire to make improvements and find better ways to do things is paramount to being a successful contributor.
